11 Jun. 2002 | Injury report: Eagle-eyed Jacqui (a self-described "Serious Reds (& Bob and Aaron) fan") wrote in with the following information about Matt: "Matt Boone has a ligament injury in his arm. When the Reds were playing in Florida during the week of Memorial Day, Sue and Matt joined Bob and Aaron in Miami for the series. Matt had suffered an injury to a ligament in one of his arms (can't remember which one) and I believe is on the DL (at least the Reds TV announcers indicated he would miss some time with the injury so that is the natural assumption...and I believe they also indicated they weren't sure at that time exactly what was wrong with it)." THANKS A BUNCH FOR THE REPORT, JACQUI!!! Please keep us posted if you hear anything more about Matt's status. |
2 May 2002 | Bret and Mike Cameron go into the record books Thursday night as they each hit back-to-back home runs - TWICE - and this was just the top of the 1st inning in that game against the White Sox!!! Cammie went on to blast two more home runs, tying the all-time record for the most home runs hit by a player during one game - four. (And he almost BROKE the record with a fifth blast but was robbed at the warning track!) WAY TO GO GUYS!!! See the Power of the Angel Flash!! THANK YOU, MARY for sharing these scoreboard images!!! |
